Question about Sony DAV-C450 System

1 Answer

No color We were having problems with our DAV-C450, sent it away for repairs, and got it back supposedly fully repaired. It is now playing the CDs fine, but we can't seem to get any color for our DVDs. Everything is crisp and clear - just black and white. The TV is fine and we've checked the connections a few times (though may have missed something, I suppose)... Did the repair men mess something up or did we just install things wrong (even after checking). Any advice would be welcome. Cheers.

I have SONY DVD DAV-DZ270 its playing only bying cd from market..its cant play cd who i write from computer

I understand that the DVD Home Theater System is not playing Video CDs you burned using the CD/DVD burner in the computer.
The player can playback Video CDs and Super Videos CDs burned using any software. However, it is required to select the Video CD option while burning the Video CDs. Another factor is to select the color system. If the Video color system used in your country is PAL and there is an option to select that in the burning software that you're using, please select it.
I have provided a link where you can view the steps to select the settings when using Nero software:
If you need specific assistance with your burning software, please get back to me with the name of the software.
If there is anything else I may assist you with, please let me know.

Cannot find code for universal remotes to make Sony DAV-C450 work

To repair your original remote, open the remote and remove the buttons sectio.(normally a solid piece of rubber with the buttons) On the PC board of the remote, clean with a scotchbrite scourer to revive the circuits and make it shiny. Next, clean the rubber button section on the inside with surgical spirits. Replace cover and fit new batteries.

03 chevrolet suburban in dash factory 6 disc changer jammed

Your radio will have to be removed and sent out for repair. The repair shop will remove cds and send them back to the shop that sent the radio in for repair. I recomend taking it in to the dealer because they deal with these issues commonly and are well equiped to handle the problem. They will remove your radio, send it in and in short order you'll have a reconditioned radio installed in a day or two. Your cds will be waiting for you when you pick your vehicle up. Cost is around 350.00

When "protect" appears on the front panel display, it means that the speaker protection circuit is in function. Visually check all your speaker connections at the back of the unit and at the back of each speaker as well. Make sure none of them are shorting out. If that is not the problem, turn off the unit, disconnect all speakers, turn unit on and verify that problem is gone. If gone, one of your speakers or wires are defective. If problem persists, the DAV-C450 internal circuitry might be in need of service. Never connect or disconnect speakers with the unit powered on. Hope this helps.
