These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

A blinking red and yellow Status LED will indicate an Error Code that can help determine the cause of a circuit
failure.
• The number of Red blinks indicates the value of the (tens digit) of the Error Code.
• The number of Yellow blinks indicates the value of the (ones digit) of the Error Code.
Example: If the Error Code is "37", the LED will continuously blink Red three times, followed by blinking Yellow
seven times.

To perform a System Reset, press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds. Or, unplug the set for 10 seconds
then restore power.

I have the same problem, called sony up but they are not responding back. The tv is still under warranty and brought it from Amazon. My situation is same but my led error code is 4 or 5 flashes. Does any one knows what's wrong with it.?

the red picture is because the optical block is bad now this part cost about $500 plus labor , when you took the lamp out you need to put the door back otherways the tv wont wort

Please let me know the exact model no. of your TV to accurately diagnose where the fault came from. Also, please check what is the status of the LED at the front panel, does it has a steady, blinking light, if blinking, please count how many times it will flash. Some of the blinking LED denoting an error code.

You should not be able to cause yourself any problem
in the manner you described (source issue).
((and your ENGLISH is VERY GOOD)).

I believe you are experiencing a power supply failure
(you MUST check this number YOURSELF).
Possibly Toshiba V71A00017700 Power Board.

Shopjimmy.com has a 180 day guarantee for your replacement power boards... (a decent guess: see below).

Also check Sears... Prices are better...

The "blinking lights" mean that there is enough basic sanity
for your TV to know it is failing a power-up sequence...

Toshiba-46wx800u... Look up the board numbers yourself after you have copied them DIRECTLY from the Printed Circuit Board with the ALUMINUM heat syncs... (inside your set)
and all the capacitors (usually the point of failure).

Amateur (novice) repairs are usually discouraged by the
manufacturers... but with a little cae you can get in & out of your set WITHOUT DESTROYING IT... Or HURTING yourself.

Three TERRIBLY important points:

1). The circuit boards easily available from
eBay (and other sources) are too inexpensive
to advise any NOVISIATE repair person to
take LIVE VOLTAGE MEASUREMENTS.

2). Anti-STATIC wristband must be worn when handling semiconductor boards (the smallest SPARK (you
might not even feel)) can utterly destroy all
semiconductors ...

3). Every wire and plug should be PHOTOGRAPHED
BEFORE any work is commenced. Suitable detail to
DIRECT all wiring re-assembly.

Follow these basic steps and you can get in & out of your TV safely.

If you have a HIGH QUALITY low impedance
volt tester... and DON'T MIND the RISK of ELECTROCUTION...

The voltages are generally WRITTEN ON THE
POWER BOARD itself.

AGAIN... This I do not recommend.
