Half-way through watching a DVD (with no previous indications of a problem), the TV screen went blank, then showed the standard "blue screen" with the word "DVD" (like you see at the start of a movie when you first insert the DVD). The player however showed "Error H07", and it would no longer play the DVD. I tried a few other DVDs, no luck. I restarted the player, also no luck. What does "H07" mean, and does anyone have a fix for it? In the meantime, I will try to clean it as per the previous fix listed for "H02".
The last time I opened up my Panasonic DVD-CV52, I looked at the little white bush on the motor spindle, it has a small spring which presses against the side of the bush.
I can see no purpose for this spring/bush other than to provide some drag to the motor.
Anyway, I removed the spring, so that the bush would no longer drag against the shaft, that was a few years back, and I haven't had a problem since.
Of course a temporary solution is to oil the bush!
The www.ledcar.com/pdvdh07/ link mentioned above provides an excellent pictorial guide to disassemble and reassemble the player.

Ho7 is a very common problem with the panasonic dvd players. It means that the spindle motor didnt come up to speed and shut down, Thus the spindle motor needs to be replaced. Good Luck

when i put a DVD disc in the DVD player wouldn't play the DVD player would say Error Message HO7 is there any way to fix this?
HO7 message on unit, and not playing any disc.
Thanks...would have been a great solution to try if I still had my unit. Brought it to a shop, after parts & labour estimate it was not economically feasible to repair, so I bought a new player for half the repair cost.
Excellent detail on the proposed solution, if only every "fixya" was that clear. Hope this works for you other guys!
I have exactly the same problem, but when I review the Panasonic parts list there is no listing for a "spindle" motor. Since this model (DVD-CV52) is a 5-disk changer, perhaps the failed motor has a different name. Panasonic lists only two parts as motors for this unit. One is item RFKPLPD667PA, described as a "TRAY MOTOR/DC/<35W" costing $14.85. The other is item RFKPLPD667PB, described as a "LOADING MOTOR" costing $15.06. Since the tray opens to accommodate DVDs or CDs, does that mean the Tray Motor is good? If so, then is the Loading Motor the "spindle" motor?
when i press play it says ho7
I also have an H07 problem. However, there is no listing for a "spindle" motor in the the Panasonic parts list. Panasonic lists only two motors for this unit. One is item RFKPLPD667PA, described as a "TRAY MOTOR/DC/<35W" costing $14.85. The other is item RFKPLPD667PB, described as a "LOADING MOTOR" costing $15.06. Which one is the "spindle" motor?
