Question about Olympus D-535 Zoom / C370 Zoom Digital Camera
My shutter button is stuck in the downward position. Help Please... The only thing I've tried is removing the batteries and turning the thing back on. Help
I don't know anything about this camera. However on most modern cameras, the Shutter Button is usually just part of a switch. Nearly always there is a rubber Diaphragm below the button, which has an electrically conducting lower surface. When the Button is pressed that surface touches a small printed circuit board, or part of a circuit board, and a number of circuits are closed. It could be that the lower surface has become stuck to the Circuit board, or the rubber diaphragm has moved and is jammed down. It might be possible for you to open the case, and get to this switch. Any other switches or buttons near by, will also become loose, so remember which goes back where. If you don't want to take any chances I would advice you to find a local repairer, who should be able to fix this fault very quickly and fairly cheaply. Good luck
