Just repalced the lamp on still have the red light for lamp on

if you was sure about lamp defective the you replace the lamp if was giving the same problem before .if not check lamp switch in side close to connection.one of the swith may be not making contact

I am going with cheap lamp if you can go oem.

Your lamp door switch or lamp switch (there are 2) may not be fully engaged or one may have failed. Try seating the lamp again, you may not have it fully installed.

Check the lamp door to make sure it is seated properly I believe the red light indicates door switch problem. It shows you lamp error data in the service manual.

Did you put the lamp door back on. Be sure lamp is seated correctly.

the rear seat does NOT have to be removed in order to replace the stoplamp and/or its bulb.
you have to get into the trunk, and there are (2) philips screws holding the stoplamp secured to the package tray. the actual process takes about 15 minutes, because to do it right you have to actually get IN the trunk.

the price they charged you sounds about right if the price of the stoplamp is included, dealerships tend to overcharge for parts.

No reset of lamp hour is required. If lamp is original form Hitachi then check Lamp Cover, it might not put back or not seated well.

12. Lamp indicator light is a flashing yellow. Lamp cover door is open or lamp cartridge is not secure. See AppendixH for lamp replacement information.

Appendix H is a bunch of graphics. that you'll need to see to understand. i can't paste it all here.

Does the light blink? If it is blinking a 3 code, the IC's need to be replaced. Those three lamps as you called them are not lamps, they are the three picture tubes.
