I have a LENOVO G560. The problem with my laptop is that it turns off all of a sudden while working and when I try to switch it on again, then it turns off half way only. Also many times I get the safe mode option window. Also when my laptop's battery is low and when I connect the charger then it turns off within sometime after the battery gets little charged.. What should I do?
SOURCE: The laptop doesn't boot up always.
I would try the following:
1. Remove the battery completely. If the computer boots properly several times in a row, then the battery may be causing the power supply to do strange things.
2. If you have experience removing laptop components, try removing the hard drive. Because you say the screen goes black (I assume the system powers off) sometimes after the HP logo, I doubt its Windows or a software issue.
3. If HP has a diagnostic CD you can boot to, try that.
4. It may be the power supply acting up. If it charges the battery, and if you can boot to Windows with the battery, try getting a new power supply.
5. Otherwise, it may be the motherboard of the laptop.

Sounds to me that you have an overheating problem. Can you hear the fan come on? Can you feel the hot air being pusheed away from the computer? Have you got it sitting on something soft like a bed or pillow or something which is stopping the intake of fresh air?

hi thanks for using fixya!
I suggest if you can try to make a windows update for your system. Then try to make a disk defragment. And try to conduct a full scan of your anti-virus. Then observe your system, if all same problem, I suggest that you format your system.
If you need further assistance, let me know. regards!
SOURCE: Lenovo WinXP - Ethernet port issue
Hi. Try to check the steps as give below.
Steps from 1-3 is for checking physical connectivity of the ethernet port and the last step is for checking OS issue. If network card do not work with Live OS as well, you can directly come to conclusion that its ethernet card that is not working properly and you need to get is repaired.
Cheers!
