I own a jvc av-28gt1sjf television. my son messed about with the remote for the tele and now it wont let him play his xbox as it wont switch to av and now it wont let me into teletext. is there a reset code for this? or anyway i can set it back to shipping condition
Is it that the remote dosent work?? Does it switch the tx on and off or does the volume change from the remote. NO?? then your remote is broken . Take out the batterys and replace them and see if that helps. Remote works?? Ok if the remote does work but wont let you into function then your gonna have to contact JVC at [email protected] Or look in your owners manual for a local branch as i see your from The UK. Good Luck and Im sorry i cant be of more assistance.

I assume that since you do not have remote you cannot choose another AV channel on your TV. If so you can use the RF input using a RF converter to AUDIO /VIDEO or if not the sky input must be shared through a VCR/DVD or multimedia/DTS amplifier
there is a card with the TV Turner that is causing this and needs to be changed its has a microprocessor that control functions of the set . get it changed and your set will just fine .
try plugging the av leads red yellow and white into the front/side of the tele if you can, and see if this helps. Other to that remove the av cable from the tv and the xbox then replace them gently but firmly and see of this works.
Try going into the menu and find something called, "center channel input." If it is on, the sound will not work. Turn it off, and the sound should be restored.
This sounds like a microprocessor controller problem?? Try to reset the tv by unplugging overnight and starting fresh in the am. If it will go in av then your all set BVut if it dosent go into the menu to see if theres any kind of lockout in the set up for the av. If not then youll have to have the set looked at by a pro. Good Luck
