The size is going to be based off of clarity per pixel, the higher the MP the more pixels in turn the larger (but more clear) the picture. The best way to keep the clarity would be to resize on your computer, if you have windows, open the picture(s) with PaintStart Menu -> Programs -> Accessories -> Paint
Then after you've opened the picture, do the followingWindows XP -> click "Image" then "Stretch/Skew"Vista/Windows7 -> Click "Resize"Make sure you keep aspect ratio percentages locked or you'll come out looking like a circus image.

Pictures Too Large to Email ?

You've got several options here.

1. Set the resolution in the camera. Press the Fn button, then select Size. The smallest choice is 1024x768, which is less than one megapixel. But if you just happen to spot that UFO, you won't get very good pics of it. And if all you wanted was 1MP pictures, why did you bother go get an 8MP camera?

2. Resize the picture on the camera. Press the E(ffect) button, then select Resize.

3. Do the resizing on the PC. Both Windows Photo Gallery and iPhoto have this capability. In some ways this is the best option, since you get all the pics in high-res, just in case that UFO shows up in a corner. And when you send email, you're probably sitting at a computer anyway.

Brookstone my life pocket album error

I had the same problem. I lwas able to load more pictures because I bypassed the function. It is easy. Just open the resized picture file on your computer, then, copy (control c) the pictures you want, and then open the photo album device through "my computer" and paste into the appropriate album. My digital photo album was listed as F Drive in my computer.
