Alignment I see 3 images of the picture with the 3 colors of the projection. I'm thinking its just some alignment issues but not sure, hoping that i just need replace a part other than dragging it out to a repair place. Thanks!

you need to replace 2 convergence IC chips to correct this issue part # stk392-110

Convergence ICs, they are big black ICs will have part# on them if they are STK392-110s use 180s better ICs also CK pico fuses in front and behind ICs
they will look like resistors but will be Yellow or Green 5amps/6amp fuses

Apparently, turning the unit off for 30 seconds, then back on will force the Phaser 7300 to do a color alignment procedure (according to Xerox support).

Then, if the problem persists, you are instructed to follow a very detailed troubleshooting procedure which I will leave with you in the following link:

First have the convergence IC's replaced these are the two large black IC's mounted on an metal heat sink.

if you are viewing from a projection tv, chances are you have to go thru the menu of the tv to 'picture tuning'. here it gives you different things that could be fixed. one to look for is 'lamp alignment'. It should show all the colors and lines with directions to bring them into focus. This should fix the blurriness and 3-d red/green/white separations. hope this helps you!

the differnt guns are out of alignment. Your tv has 3 lcd screens, a red, green and blue one what overlay to form the image. Sometimes they move slightly for what ever reason and that causes the rainbow and out of focus picture. Its something that a trained pro should do but is a cheap fix and won't set you back too much

you have to make the alignment for all 3 formats....standard....1080i...and 480i

So this is a rear projection TV.

Chances are the tubes are out of alignment. When cleaning or anything never move the tubes as it will be hell to get em back properly.

In the back you can take off the rear panel and move the tubes to partially re-align the picture.

This is generally followed by a model specific procedure using the remote to bring up alignment grids to finalize the picture alignment.

The reason for the 3 colours in the picture are that the rear projection units use Red, Green and Blue tubes to create the one colour picture.

All in all... When I messed mine up it took about 2 hours to set it straight again.

Now I just have to fix my flashing screen problem and i'm set.

Color tubes are OK. Do not adjust. The issue at hand is called

2)Replace convergence IC's
3)Recheck alignment
