I got philips gogear hdd 2GB 17/70 mp3 player as a gift. i installed the sotware and everything and the mp3 player wokred awesome. it transferred the files and played music well. But today, after i trnasferred some music file, the player started blinking and so, i turned it off and tried to turn it on, but it didn't work. So, i plugged the charger in and the player turned on but with a white screen only. i ouldn't do anything. and when i take the charger off, the player shuts down. what is the problem and how could it be solved?

You need to re flash the player. There is a download able app that searches for new firmware for the player. Install the firmware again and the player will be all better.

Soldierruel recomends rejuvenating the battery. Please advise how this is done as the internal battery on my ipod recharges but will only play for 5 minutes or so before deciding it needs a recharge! Thanks Craywater

I have the same problem and have e-mailed phillips but the help they offered and suggest has made no difference.The unit is 13 months old so out of warranty. I phoned there service centre for a quote and was told the repair would be £99.88 ,which is dearer than the new price now.I paid £130 13 months ago and it looks like i will have to but a new one but not one of these pieces of shit and certainly not anything else from phillips

Check your battery voltage it could be low and if thats the case rejuvenate it to its original capacity. And reinstall the software.
