Hi red power light comes on -but tv wont come on at all and it keeps swithing off

was watching tv then it cut out. red light remains on but nothing is happening please help.

Try plugging the power cable out for the night. If it doesn't solve it there's probably a problem with the power supply that needs professional care. Good luck

It sounds like the power supply board has some bad capacitors that need to be replaced. Samsung is covering the cost to repair this problem on some models. You can call 1-800-samsung to find out if your unit is covered.

My dlp tv keeps switching itself off

take bulp vent cover off rear of tv. there is a little plastic switch that gets pressed in by this cover. i taped mine in because the cover wasnt pressing it in all the way and causing tv to shut off all the time. havent had a problem since.

HLP, HCN HL-S The Start-up Problem or/and
3 LEDs in the front blinking.

Unplug the set, pull out the lamp module (not all the way - leave it on the track) and push it back in.

Power issues (Tv not turning on) were typically due to faulty ballast. While the TV reports a bad lamp it is the ballast itself causing the issue. Samsung is well aware and will replace both the ballast and the lamp (since the lamp can be prematurely aged but the bad ballast). After replacment most people stop having issues.
