The company upgrades original software for new computer operating systems, but does not provide downloads of their software. My solution was to purchase a second camcorder for parts that included the original software. I may have to purchase a third camera because of a malfunctioning disc assembly on both my camcorders.

My Hitachi DVD-Ram R DZ-MV380A NTSC does not show the finalize option when I go there I am trying to finalize a DVD - R Sony. I know I have finalized these type of discs before on this camera.

Several issues come to mind. The problem may exist because it needs a firmware update, the dvd drive is becoming defective or the disc is defective. I hope this helps.

No software

If you camera software disc is broken you can download it from the camera's manufactor website.

1. There should be a search bar on the website, and enter in your
model number.
2. Look for support and dirvers for your camera.
3. Then click on download to download the correct software for your
windows.

You will need to contact Hitachi to fix this one. The camcorder driver will probably work in Windows XP but not in Vista.
