Touch focus I'll try to explain without confusing you. I tried to do a touch focus and I am getting a touch focus error. During the touch focus the green and blue lines are all straight. The red lines in the middle is straight but the other red lines curve. The top red line curves like a smile and the bottom red line is like a mouth frown. Then I get a touch focus error. I have tried the manual convergance, but am not sure exactly what I'm doing. What do you think??

Why oh why do consumers try to do sofisticated alighnments that we tech spend years to do.. Ok I know you wanns learn and save a few bucks. opk you are now to correct this problem are gonna have to call an authorized Toshiba servicer, cause if you call anybody else they will pull your set and spend countless hours not knowing how to do this as you attemted to do yourself. Now dont get me wrong PLEASE!!!! Its not wrong to try and fix things your self But these days on this electronic equipment its not the same thing as taking a few tubes to the drug store and making a few verticle adjustments like they were dont in the past. Now days there sofisticated digital alighnments that you need the right equipment and the know how to do or it will in the end costing you three times as much to do. Find an authorized repair shop or center , tell them what you did so they dont have to look for a problem as its not a prt falure cause if you tell them it all of a sudden did this !! they will find several parts that went bad. Also are you aware of the high voltage in these sets? Good Luck

Convergence problem

Replace the Convergence amplifiers. Mine did the same. It was like watching a 3D movie without the glasses. It is not hard to do for someone who knows their way around a circuit board repair. Otherwise call a reputable service shop.
