Sound problem My MP3 player works OK but sounds very hissy all the time. What settings should I use or who should I take it into for repair? (New Zealand)

  • d3m0n1f13d Dec 11, 2007

my mp3 player is constantly making a backround noise that could be compared to fastfowarding on some car stereos
i am not holding down the fastfoward button
    i put in new batteries
i put all of the music back on
this is only new music that is acting wrong not my original music
the new music worked for about a month

I have the exact same problem and the battery is full. It's hissy right out of the box. I'm almost positive that I'm going to return this as thus far it's garbage.

If you still have a problem with the battery I'm selling A Faulty Sansa E250 on ebay Australia where you could get the battery from. The battery works fine.

I have no sound on my Prinston VL1918 monitor now that I hooked it up to my new ASUS computer. Do I need to download a driver?

No sound driver is needed for the built-in monitor power speakers (just think of it as a Powered PC speakers built-into the monitor). Are your PC sound card and driver and setting OK? Try feeding the monitor with sound source from MP3 player to see if it works OK, To repair the amplifiers in the monitor will not be worth it since you can spend the same amount for a good set of Powered PC speakers instead with much better sounding.

No earphones sound OK, with earphones no sound

the connector may have come loose from the player board, you could try opening it and replacing/resoldering the port, but it would be best if you just sent it back for repair.

My iq sound mp3 (IQ950FM) won't download music files.

Make sure they are in MP3 format. If they are, you may need to reset the MP4 player to the factory setting by navigating to: Settings -> Default Set -> OK
