Unlock My vcr has locked and I dont have a users manual. I dont remember how to unlock it

Unplug it for about five minutes and then plug it back in.

Proscan vcr model psvr71 is in lock mode following directions in manual won't unlock it, is there some way to get it out of the lock mode other than what the manual tells me to do ?
I read the user's manual again. I misunderstood and held both on/off button and vcr1 button at the same time. I should only have been holding one of the buttons for ten seconds or untill the vcr responded=-=-=-=-=-DUH !

I have RCA VR 646HF. My remote fell between sofa
I could not find the Users Manual for the VR636HF, but I did stumble across the Users Manual for the VR634HF. Find it here:

Page 49 talks about the Pro-Tec Plus Locking "Feature" whereby holding the VCR button for six seconds will lock and unlock the "SAFE" mode.

Page 38 & 39 are instructions and programming codes for the VR634HF remote. Maybe they will work with your VR636HF to get the TV control working again.

Help me unlock my gps i do not remember my pin # all i can remember is there is 6 # in the pin please help me
Take it back to the 'secure location' as indicated in your service manual. It will automatically unlock when it gets a full satellite signal. You have to enter the PIN number twice when setting up the unit. You should always use a number which is familiar to you so you can remember it. If you can't remember it, and if your secure location doesn't unlock the unit, you will need to send the unit to Garmin to unlock it. You will need your receipt for Garmin to unlock the unit.

Try this: (actually found in user manual...)

Pro-Tect Plus™ (Child Lock) Feature

This feature is useful to tamper proof your timer recordings from unwanted changes

and/or protect the VCR from mis-operation by other users in the household.

To Lock the VCR

Press and hold POWER or VCR on the remote for

approximately six seconds to turn on the Pro-Tect Plusª

feature.

SAFE appears in the VCR front panel to let you know the

feature is activated.

To Unlock the VCR

Press and hold VCR button on the remote for approximately

six seconds to unlock the VCR.

i went to this site and got the users manual
you will need to register first though
if your problem was the same as mine then all you need to do is hold the on button on your remote for 8 seconds

My vcr is locked
this used to happen to me years ago and hasnt happened again until today. I know there is a button to press and hold, but I dont remember which one it is. One solution I know works but can be a pain in the ass is to unplug it for a few minutes and when you plug it back in it SHOULD be free of the lock

stairmaster 4000 won't turn on. It has a reset box attached. The cord to an outlet runs out from that box. I press in the long needle like red plastic button. The red light on the rest box turns on (red light), but only stays on for a minute, then shuts off. No power goes to the machine even for that one minute. I would guess a fuse was blown, but I am just guessing... and I do not know where this fuse would be, even if it had one.
