I have and HP computer, with a LG FLatron L1720P monitor attached. The combo is about 10months old. The problem is, when the computer is turned on, the monitor displays "digital power saving mode", the goes into a sleep mode, and will not display anything. This problem just started within the last day or so.

Re: digital power saving mode
Are you sure someone hasn't changed the power setting in windows. I've seen similar tricks pulled by so called mates. :-)
If windows is OK then check the manual for the monitor and if you still can't crack it take it for a ride to the repair shop. It is under warranty after all.

Hook a spare monitor to the computer, if the same symptoms occur the problem is the Video Graphics Card in the computer, but if the picture is okay, it is clearly the LG Flatron that has the problem, and if possible sub the video cord from the computer to the monitor just to be sure.
