Question about Lexmark X5150 All-In-One InkJet Printer
If it isn't a fractured power cable or loose power socket either at the wall or the printer power supply which plugs in the rear of the printer, then it must be a fault with the printer itself. Try pushing the power supply in and then pull it out a few times then make sure it's fully pushed in. Are you sure it's completely closing down? If it's just stopping it could be a near empty ink cartridge or maybe a faulty cable from the printer to the computer (USB). I doubt it would be the software but a reinstall (make sure you uninstall first) certainly won't hurt. Software can do weird things at times :-) BMW

To rule out the software, disconnect the computer from the printer and see if you can copy and print out a document. The computer isn't needed for this task. If everything works then it's either the USB cable or software problem.
Make sure the power plug which plugs into the power supply is pushed in hard too.
