Dishwasher leaves residue in top rack only

My Smeg dishwasher always leaves food residue on items in top rack - bottom rack is always clean. It looks like stuff that has been somehow circulated round from items all over the dishwasher. i have run a dishwasher cleaner through, and taken off and cleaned all the spray arms and filters.

I seem to have the same problem as above - I can only describe the residue as being like weetabix which gets dried onto glasses and mugs etc on the top rack. Have cleaned out everything - can't take off the back as suggested as it is built in!

Same problem - top rack only: residue gets dried hard onto glasses and mugs etc which are then very difficult to clean. Can't take of back as suggested as it is integrated.

Most cleaning problems are caused by the dishwasher not getting enough water. It could be cause of the switch level, which control water level in the tub. The switch level is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. I am not familiar with your machine, but if you will open the rear panel you will find it easily. Be aware you should discoonect the power cable !!! Clear the tube (attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub) from any obstruction. In case it will not solve the problem, you should replace the switch. Good luck !
