Try running some boiling hot soapy water, dunk the DS in, give it a thoroughly good scrubbing, leave it in there for a few hours and then give it a rinse with the hose pipe.

I suggest opening it up and getting to the main problem because the water went inside the nintendo ds which means inside is your problem. oh yeah your gonna need a T8 and T10 torque screwdriver to open it. trust me i know.

also what kind of ******* runs an electronic under water. its your fault *******!!!

  • Anonymous Nov 13, 2008

it could be the battery or rust. if its rust you gotta open it and clean all the rust or just clean anywhere thats wet. (water causes rust) you'll need a 1.2 millimeter flathead to open it.

Electronics and water do NOT mix. You're DS would have broken anyway whether someone else used it or not.

$200, I can buy a new one for less than that!

No ds game inserted

it is a very common problem with the nintend DS console, its to do with dust or dirt being trapped between the connectors that the game cartridge connect too. make sure that this is clean, properly, (not by just blowing into it) my advice is to use a DRY cotton bud or something allong those lines.....hope this helps, if it doesnt get back to me

My mic doesnt work properly, so i have to get at a certain angle to use it. I have sorta the same problem, so here's my answer. If you play Mario Kart DS, and are plaing the Balloon battle game, get a fan to blow into it. Works every time!

sounds like bent pins or possible dirty systems needing a cleaning. If Lob_12345 would be willing to sell/trade for one of the broken units I would be able to run further tests with this issue. you can contact me at [email protected]

and as far as a defect....anything man made ushally breaks at some point...unless its cast iron and 600lbs and built to with stand a war.
