take off the cold water line from the valve on the wall. be sure and turn off the water first. the screen on the hose end may be plugged with rust or some debris.

The problem can still be in your lines, or in the dispenser itself. If you run hot water with a little bit of vinegar in the lines and let it sit for about 30 minutes and then flush the whole system this should take care of your problem

Most refrigerators have a catch basin under the cabinet that is accessible after removal of the trim at the bottom.  This trim grill can have a half-dozen different fasteners on it although most have plastic extensions that are inserted into matching holes in the sheet metal that forms the base of the unit.
Try (gently) lifting the bottom lip of the grill while pulling it outward; if this frees the bottom edge, then angle the grill outward at the bottom and pulling it downward to free the upper edge. On some units there may also be a knob-like section that when turned releases the grill.
You didn't mention brand and model but with these, you should be able to find a downloadable manual on line that would detail how to remove the grill.
Once the grill is out of the way, most catch basins simply are lifted up and pulled out for cleaning and emptying.
To fully rid the fridge of odors, it may be necessary to pour hot (not boiling) water down any drains you see in each compartment several times to flush them.  Obviously, the catch basin should be in place when doing this and they can be quite shallow.

It is likely that you have a problem with the capacitor.  Look for it on top of the compressor.  If it is discolored or smells...you'll know!...replace it.  While you're there, clean out the condenser fins.

sounds as if you might have a compressor related sealed system problem, youll have 5 year war on such an issue from the manufacture

when you repl the filter it has to be purged to bleed all the air out just keep askig for wtr until you purge all the ait out dispence at least 15 large glases of wtr

you need to turn the frezzer downso it lets more cold air into frig. and put the frig setting back in the middle,aslo vac off your coils under the frig.all this should work,if not let me know,also check to see if you have any frost buildup on the freezer walls-mike

Yes. I would suggest the control board is possibly damaged.

We lost power due to hurricane Ike and now that the power is back on the ice maker is not working. Is there a reset button or what needs to be done to get it working again?
