You just have to hold down the clock button for about 5 seconds and it will switch to the opposite setting.

SOURCE: Magnavox CD Player Clock Radio not working

This Clock/Radio/CD player has had component failure problems. The unit is probably not worth repairing. The reason is the parts and repair information is probably very limited. The cost of the repair with parts and labor will be expensive. This repair would probably cost you more than just buying a new Clock/Radio/CD player. I hope this information helps you with your problem. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!

How do i reset the 24-hour time to 12-hour time on a Brookstone alarm clock

Dozens of models to choose from. All questions on Fixya need 'make model (what it is)' as the first 3 words.

Here are some guesses. The 'control cover' is where you put the back-up battery.

To change the 12/24 hour time format, open the CONTROL COMPARTMENT COVER on the bottom of the clock and adjust the 12/24 TIME FORMAT switch to the desired format .

My Koss KS7322-2 is stuck in 24 hour format, how do i set it back to the 12 hour clock?

Press and hold the "clock" button. You need to hold it for what seems like a long time - 10 seconds.

How do i change the minutes

Assuming that the time display isn't currently blinking (in the set mode), first press the Time button (to the upper right of the Snooze button). Then press the Reverse button (that lets you skip CD tracks backwards). When you have the correct minutes displayed, press Time again. (Note: if you press and hold Time, you will toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour time. The Forward skip button will set the Hour. If you find the wrong part of the time changing, try using the other button and make sure that you are not in the Alarm Set mode.)

Emerson has the manual for their clock radios on their support site: http://www.emersonradio.com/owner_manuals.php . The direct link to the manual for the CKD9901 clock radio/CD player is http://www.emersonradio.com/resources/owner_manuals/manual_1312821795.pdf .

I hope this helps.

(every so often I get a clock that is set in the opposite combination from the manual directions. Usually it's a one-off and the others in that model are set as directed.)

How do i change from military time on a insta-set alarm model 40009?

This may or may not work. The 40009 and 40010 are almost identical. The 40009 doesn't mention military time and the 40010 does, so you might want to what the manual says. 40010 manual and 40009 manual. According the 40010 manual, is says:

Displaying the12/24 hour, Date, Month and Year:
Display the 12/24 hour by hold the "+" button for 2 seconds. To display the date, month and year by press the "-" button, the year appears and then if pressed again, the month and date (eg. “12 31” means Dec 31) appears.

So maybe that will do. I have a 40010, but my manual is different from the one on the website. Its DST button and not Alarm Set button to change the time. So maybe try holding down different buttons for a couple of second see if one lets you change it between 12 and 24 hour. Good luck, hope this helps.

Sharper Image S1785 Clock Settings

When setting-up the time (by pushing the "mode" button), the alarm time set comes up first, followed by the time set.
When setting the proper hour in this mode, simply continue through the military "24 hour" cycle and the second cycle of 24 hours will be in the 12 hour format.
Continue through and finish the mode set-up function and your up and running. --

12 hour vs 24 hour read on clock

Push the "mode" button twice to enter the time change function. Once the display is blinking keep pushing the mode button until you see the "pm" icon on the LCD display. When that happens set the clock as you normally would using the 1-4 keys.

Remember to check if the 12 hour clock is set to AM or PM.

Good luck.
