My psp wont turn on or charge!!

does the light go on when on charger? if so its just a completely flat battery. you might not need a new one, charge it for half before you try to switch it on again

Did you buy it off Ebay or something could be the same problem as mine although I didn't buy mine off Ebay I have to bend the charger to get it to work even then it's a problem finding the right spot,if it's a 3000 it's a common problem with 3000s your best bet would be to buy a new one.

Try a different outlet in the wall, it might be the outlet. If it isn't the outlet, maybe it's the power cord. Try to use someone else's PSP charger and see if it works. If it If it's not that, then it's your PSP. If you had it since launch then it will cost $90 to get fixed.

Depending on how long you have had this psp, your battery may have run out of charges. You may have to buy a new one. OR if you are using any sort of unofficial software or firmware then that may also have killed your psp. I recommend first looking up any similar problems online, uninstall any unofficial firmware or software. If that doesn't help then buy a new battery/psp.

Replace the AC adapter. it may haved taken a surge over night. If this does fix the problem then the powerborad needs to be replaced. Your parts can be ordered from risingsonltd.com

believe it or not, if the psp works you can play it with out a battery using thee charger. Try that and see if it works at all. If it does then you may need to replace your battery, or leav it and let it charge for about 5-6 hours.

If it's 4 months old and it does not work at all you should still be under your manufacturer's warranty.

wrong charger

Is your PSP a slim one? If so, please, try first taking out the battery and plugging in the charger on the PSP and socket(of course) then try turning it on...If it doesn't turn on, prolly your PSP has been semi-bricked. If that's the case, you need a pandora kit and the universal unbricker to unbrick your PSP...

this is easy i solved it! buy a charger from gamestop that you have to take the battery out and then put it in the charger and charge it that way! that way if your fuse inside your psp is out it will charge the battey without putting it in the psp so all you do with the item is: take your battery out, put it in the alternative charger from gamestop (does not come with psp slim 2001 or 2000) plug the charger in the while charge the battery then bam!! there you go problem solved have a fun time playing your psp!

The polarity of the charger you used is wrong or the wrong voltage, and has messed up the programming n the battery.  You may be lucky if you get a new battery and use the Right charger, It might fix it.  Sony put a battery in the PSP that has a memory chip in it, and I think it will automatically disconnect if the wrong vooltage hits it, or wrong polarity. be warned that I have seen where someone got a new battery and it did not solve the problem.
