I purchased more memory for my laptop. I have absolutely no idea where to add it. I found the slot that already has a memory chip inside. I know this probably sounds really stupid to you, but I thought I was adding more memory on, do I have to remove this chip or is there somewhere else I install the new one? I am pretty clueless when it comes to this; however, I want to make sure I do it right and don't do anything to harm my laptop. I'm obviously not a tech-e so I will need directions in as basic of a format as you can provide for me.
I truly appreciate your help and advice.

Your laptop only has one slot for memory. If you have a Dimm in the slot , that is all you can have. If it is a 128 MB. Dimm. If it is less than 128 MB,You can add 128 MB memory.
Here is a link for 128 MB:

You may have to copy and paste the link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
