Sound There is no sound from monitor to cumputer can't find plug in from screen to computer

Did you plug the sound sable into the audio out port on your computer?
The VGA and DVI monitor cable/plugs do not have sound capability so if there are speakers on your monitor they need to get the sound signal through a separate wire.
HDMI can send sound so if your monitor is hooked up via HDMI it should be able to pass sound as well (at least in most circumstances).

Based on your description it clearly shows that monitor and data cable works fine. Reinstall the graphic card driver of the machine. All you need to do is to choose the operating system of your computer then click on the Download button under the Graphics driver to download the driver. Please restart the computer after you download and install the driver.

Normally you will get beep sound at booting if you have a problem with your video card or under some circumstances with your screen.

Try to plug an other monitor on your computer. If it works than probably your monitor is in problem.

or

try to plug your monitor on an other pc. If it works than your computer video card is the problem.

you did not discuss how old, check the battery indicator bar,also check the video driver to insure you have a current version. Look in Control/Video.
