Try to troubleshoot compatibilty. Right click the program icon of print cd then click troubleshoot compatibility, click try recommended settings, click start the program, click yes to run the program, if it works save the setting. If it doesn't work try to download print cd version compatible with windows 7.

Hi Hello, the printer comes with an installation CD in the CD is inserted when given the choice of language for the installation of drivers, maybe you were wrong and install the drivers in Portuguese.

What you do is the following.

1 go to start, in the section "All Programs" must be one of epson, uninstall all drivers.

2 resets the printer CD, or if you have not download the drivers on the official website of www.epson.com

3 will begin when an option that shows what language you want to do the installation (Portuguese, Spanish and English)

4 singles and English. the installation and go ends

this issue may have several causes:
1. make sure that you've removed the yellow ribbon from the top of the cartridge before installing it. it is there to keep the ink fresh before it's installed and has to be removed to enable the ink to flow into the print head. (not all epson cartridges have this ribbon though)
2. check all the settings in the printer driver or simply remove the current driver completely and reinstall the latest driver you can find on the epson site.
3. the black print head may be clogged. in this case, performing cleanings will help, possibly several cleanings are necessary
4. there may be a faulty connection between the printer's mainboard and the print head.
5.there may be an electronical problem with either the print head or the mainboard.

in the last two options it's better to let a professional technician look at it.

Need to go to the website of the company of your printer, and if your printer is only a couple of years old or newer the website will have the software "drivers" for you to download that your printer model's installation CD-ROM originally came with. This is necessary for your computer to recognize what kind of printer you're plugging in to it.

The printer's installation CD-ROM had the exact same drivers that you will be downloading so it will be like if you’re getting the installation CD-ROM again but only via the internet instead of having an actual CD-ROM so don't worry about it.

Some generations of people are terrified of using the internet for no other reason then FEAR of the unknown and that is not my problem. Just be brave.

Hello guys.

About the problems printing CD/DVD with your Epson R265 ....................

There is nothing to do. The prg coming with the printer (PrintCD) is wrong at all and we cannot understand why the Epson Corp. has simply deleted the prg by its download site.

After tryng for a lot of solutions ........ INCREDIBLE but TRUE ..... the program Print CD coming with the previous Epson R200 is ok at 100% !

So, in conclusion, all prgs inserted onto the Epson R265 CD are OK eccept the Print CD. Don't install it from the R265 disk ! It will crash !

If already installed, delete it and install the prg Epson R200 print CD.
It will work fine and without troubles.

Repeat ... it's incredible, but true.

The prg can be downloaded searching for Epson R200 software.
If you will have troubles, let me know.

I was able to install the original XP status monitor from the CD, onto Windows Vista Home Premium.

On the install cd, you need to open the 'STM3' folder under whatever language you are installing, 'English' in my case. There are several .exe files in that folder:

E_S1LAC2.EXE
E_SCHK02.EXE
E_SIINS2.EXE
E_SPSU02.EXE
STMSETUP.EXE
For each of these, right click on the file, and choose 'Properties'. Under the 'Compaitbility' tab, choose 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' - Windows XP (Service Pack 2).

Then run the 'STMSETUP.EXE' file, and it should install properly, and work. Although I cannot guarantee that it will work on your system, or that it will not have any negative effects on your computer.

So far, I have not had any trouble with it.

Try visiting Epson website...look for support link for drivers...then find your printer and operating system...download drivers and install....install program should provide directions..generally it will direct you to make sure printer cable is not connected to pc until install program tells you to do so. You can also do a google search for "epson stylus photo r200 drivers for vista", chances are you'll find a site from the results...good luck
