Logitech keyboard quit working

I was in the middle of typing and the keyboard quit working. I put in new battieres and it still didn't work. I was able to use my mouse, access the internet, but could not do anything that required typing.. Like an idiot I restarted and now I can't get back into my computer, because it wants me to type a password.
I am using a friend's computer and not sure how to access his email.
Hopefully we can chat online.
Actually I could access my email from his computer... so
you can email me at [email protected] or call me at 970-669-3083

Hi,

almost every wireless keyboard / mouse has a connect button somewhere. its located on the bottom or on the side. what you need to do is to press and hold on the connect button to synch the device with the transmitter connected to the computer. if the transmitter on the computer has a connect button you might need to press them both at the same time. do the same if the wireless mouse stops working.

The mouse was working great. I pushed the connect button on the cradle and it quit working and now it won't start when I push the button.

Take the battery(ies) out of the mouse. Move the controller to another USB port. Put the battery(ies) back in the mouse. It should connect. If not, Logitech has override procedures listed on their site. I can't tell you which one to use. You didn't list the mouse model.

Hello Willy, hi, most likely its a circuit failure, so only the manufacturer can truthfully test the unit, have it returned to the dealer.and if its on warranty better.

Logitech MX 3200 wireless keyboard Numeric (right side) keypad does not work.

maybe it is full of dust on those buttons. Try cleaning it with a duster of mini-brush because it interrupts the function.

Mx3200 keyboard

I had exactly the same problem - ie Logitech MX3000 keyboard with remote mouse and only the "F mode" key and few others seemed to work around the top of the keyboard, but I don't think I had the SetPoint software. So I found it and downloaded it (www.logitech.com/setpoint).

As soon as it was installed I was asked to secure the keyboard by pressing ctrl alt and F12 and then I had to type in a 16 digit code (given on screen) and then my keyboard started working again.

I didn't have a spare keyboard so I used the on-screen keyboard (Start - All Programs - Accessories - Ease of Access - On-Screen Keyboard).

Keyboard does not work

You don't need to install any software updates. Just do the following:

[Ctrl]-[Alt]-[F12] (must use the left [Ctrl]-[Alt] keys, not the right)
Push the Connect button beneath the keyboard, then the Connect button on the USB Receiver, then the [Esc] key on the keyboard.

This will unlock the security encryption on the keyboard. You may need to reconnect the mouse afterward too.
