Oven Light Assembly wires

I have a replacement oven light assembly for the AEG oven, but as someone else removed the old unit, I do not know which wire to connect to which terminal - there are two wires, a blue one and a grey one. Any help would be appreciated - thanks.

SOURCE: AEG Oven

Probably there is an electrical relay that has failed.. or if electronically controlled, the equivalent circuitry. Or maybe a thermostat has failed. Be careful with anything electrical, as these kinds of faults may need a trained tradesperson. They can be dangerous to play with, as you need to be able to take electrical measurements and use tools to repair this yourself.

You can look on eBay to buy a used cooker and use it or spare parts
or if its better replace your own.

SOURCE: AEG 3032 Oven, no light, no main fan, no heat to grill or oven

If you are sure the timer is set to manual and not auto , then I would say that it sounds like the selector switch is faulty or the thermostat is faulty, some times they are combined as one unit, and sometimes they are 2 separate switches.
You need to remove top cover of oven and have a look inside the control panel and see if there is anything obvious like a burnt wire or bad connection
If it is a combined unit, then sometimes the 2 parts of the unit become disengaged or the cam inside the switch breaks.

Plz rate my solution .
Thanks.

SOURCE: AEG Competence Oven not working

If you are certain that the element is o/k, and it is not heating, then thwere are 2 possibilitues.

1- the oven thermostat could be faulty, whereby it is giving a feed to the element.
2-some ovens have a fan only setting, as well as heat and fan, make sure that it is not on a fan only setting.
Hope this helps.

Why does the oven time flash but the oven won't turn on?

power to the unit by removing one or more fuses or tripping one or more breakers at the main entrance panel or at a separate panel. If the range is fused at a separate panel, this panel may be located adjacent to the main panel or in a basement, crawl space, or other location. If there is a grounding wire to the range, disconnect it. Make sure the power to the unit is off.
Servicing FusesIf the range or oven is receiving power but doesn't work, the unit may have its own fuse or circuit breaker assembly. This assembly is usually located under the cooktop of the range. In some units, lift the top of the range to gain access to the fuse assembly; or lift the elements, remove the drip pans, and look on the sides of the cabinets. Inside the oven, look to the back to spot the fuse assembly.
If the unit has this additional fuse or breaker system, components such as the oven light, the range heating elements, the timer, and a self-cleaning feature may be separately fused.
If these components or features fail to work, don't overlook the possibility that the fuses have blown. To replace a blown fuse, unscrew the old fuse and install a new one of the same type and electrical rating. If the unit has circuit breakers, push the breaker or reset button, which is usually located on the control panel.

Oven is AEG Competence, single oven, fan assisted, 4 yrs old. Oven doesn't heat. Light ok, automatic cooking settings not switched on, grill working

If the fan is working o/k, then you need to replace the oven element.
This is located at the rear of the oven compartment, behind a removeable cover.
This should solve the prob.
Please leave feed back.
Thankyou.

Don't know how to light the pilot light in the oven.It is a Garland ten burner two ovens. It is about 11 years old. Where is the pilot light and how do I light it.

Most commercial ovens have a manually lit pilot. There will be a button somewhere on the range that you will need to push in so gas will come out of the pilot assembly. While holding this button you will the light the pilot and will need to hold the button in for about a minute or two until the pilot stays on after you release the button. Look around the bottom panel, top panel or side panels(you may need to remove one) to find the button. they are usually red and may not look like a button. If you find the button and the pilot does not stay lit then the thermocouple might be bad. If you push the button and do not get any gas coming out of the pilot then there might be debris in the pilot assembly causing the gas not to come out. In that case you could try and tap the assembly or blow with compressed air to clear it. But in most cases you will need to remove the pilot assembly and use a really fine wire(like a metal tie-strap minus the coating) to clear the pilot orfice.
