Dear Person: I was in the TV repair bussiness for OVER 45 yrs & left it a year ago because HDTV , plasma & flat screens went WAAAY over my head...A friend sent me a Samsung HCP-4752W with a convergence problem..The red horiz was bowed down at the top only of the pix..One of the STK-392-010 IC's was bad...I replaced BOTH IC's with Sanyo IC's , NOT generics...ALL the resistors associated with both IC's checked OK...After I replaced both IC's , I noticed that the red vertical on the left side is a bit out of convergence...The rest of the pix seems OK...It just needs some touch-ups..FYI:..Self focus is working but it does NOT correct it..Neither myself nor my customer are willing to pay for a complete service manual just to accomplish this...I have mucho experience with factory service menus...What I need is the FULL factory service menu for convergence AND step by step adjustment procedure...Your help WILL be GREATLY appreciated...Thank you VERY much in advance...RonM
I have the same issue also. Just replaced the Sub PWR & DEF board, and changed the coolant in the Blue CRT. Now I cannot find the FULL service menu settings. I need to dim the blue some....I may end up having to change the coolant in R & G also.

Try adjusting the convergence. If it won't move see below- red IC in particular This sounds like convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. my less than 2 yrs. old hardly used Samsung plasma is turning off automatically for no reason within 10m minutes of watching. What could be the problem??????????
If you haven't already done so, it may be that all you need to do is adjust the convergence after moving the set. You should find convergence and its adjustments in the setup menu
With power on, press Mute-1-8-3. That will get you into convergence mode. 1 sets factory default convergence. Avoid pressing 2 - it resets everything. 3 restores the last saved settings, 4 switches among fine adjust, line adjust and grid move. 7,8,9 - select R,G,B. The three keys below those turn RBG on/off.
Self-focus to save the settings. S-Mode to exit.
It can be a REAL headache, but take your time, and you'll get it done.
As an after thought....if you have a need to manually adjust the convergence, you probably have something wrong - unless you've just replaced parts and are doing the initial convergence.
most likely the convergence board. Ordered complete convergence board, ask samsung for part number Convergence AMP PCB $108.44, from www.samsungparts.com or could send it in to ptscorp.com for repair.
You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together convergence repair kits for most models.
The kits include a photo instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, thermal paste, etc. Everything you will need to do the repair yourself.
This is a Plasma TV set, there is no convergence adjustments on this set. the convergence adjustments are for tube type projection TV sets. You could have a few problems with your TV. You could have a bad color whell assembly, a bad light engine assy. or a problem with the main board. This is not a set a that some who is not trained on plasma TV sets should attempt to troubleshoot and or repair. depending on how old this set is, it may still be under warranty. if it is not, call out only a Samsung authorized servicer, as they will have the boards and proper tools to service this TV.
