It's a Model JJW8530CAB. The baking element

It's a Model JJW8530CAB. The baking element will not heat up. I have replaced the element already, although both the old and the new elements show 20ohms resistance. I have replaced the temperature sensor. There is no fault on the controller display. The broiler element heats up. When the broiler element is 'on', it doesn't show any current on my 'tweeter'. But the baking element always is showing current. ???

Are you having any issues at all with the display at all? Did this start out of the blue or did you have a power outage or anything else?

I don't recall any power outages. The display is working just fine - no problems. I seems like the oven started (over a period of a couple of days maybe) heating up more slowly while preheating. Now the baking element doesn't heat up at all.

Take a look at the diagram below. You say you replaced the "Temperature Sensor" so check the continuity on the thermostat (#4 on the diagram) to see if it is good. If the thermostat checks good, then you will need to replace the "relay board". (# 11 on the diagram) Please post back your findings and I will be able to direct you to the part you need.

    Regards,

Also, turn off the breakers to the oven for 1/2 hour to try and reset the unit to see if the bake element will heat.

Here is a link to my complete service manual for that model oven. Look at page 3-1 for diagnostic test to run.

Jenn-Air model JJW8530CAB bake element not woking.

That only leaves the control board or a broken connection. Due to the cost, I advise you to call for Jenn-Air Service.

I have an LG LSE3092ST. Replaced baking element but still not heating up. Any ideas?

LG LSE3092ST Service Manual

That is the link to the free service manual. If you replaced a heating element and still have an issue with the unit not heating, it may be a thermostat issue.

I have GE model#JKP45WOP2WG double oven wall unit. Lower oven isn't heating up properly. Bottom of lower oven doesn't seem as hot as the top of the oven... replaced oven sensor, not

Most double wall ovens are technically two separate oven boxes. The lower oven box has its bake, boil elements, high limit thermostat and ofcourse its own oven sensor. If the lower oven box boil is working good and less heat on bake feature may suggest that the bake element is burned out and only getting preheated with boil element. Just a suggestion here

The bake element (in over) will no longer get hot, should the element itself be replace or could it be something else? Range model RS675PXEQ0

It does sound like the bake element is probably the problem. Many ovens turn on the broil element with 120 volts to even out the heat in the oven or pulse the broil element. This may be why the oven is warm but not baking.

Whirlpool built in electric oven bake (bottom)heating element does not heat up only tot heats when in bake mode

CHECK FOR CRACKS IN THE BAKE ELEMENT. IF THE UNIT IS NOT HEATING THE BOTTOM, BUT THE TOP IS STILL HEATING, YOU MORE THAN LIKELY HAVE TO REPLACE THE ELEMENT. THIS IS A 220 VOLT OVEN WITH 110 VOLTS ALWAYS GOING TO THIS ELEMENT, SO TURNING OF THE BREAKER IS VITAL FOR SAFETY PURPOSES. WITH AN OHM METER, UNINSTALL THE ELEMENT AND CHECK BOTH WIRE CONNECTIONS FOR OHMS. YOU SHOULD GET SOME KIND OF READING BETWEEN 10 OHMS AND 500 OHMS. IF YOU'RE NOT AT LEAST GETTING A SOLID READING, REPLACE THIS ELEMENT.

Baking & broiling elements won't heat after baking element burned out and was replaced.

the surge from the original element burning out has destroyed the control board if you can't hear the relays on the board clicking when you power up the elements bake or broil then its either the low voltage side of the board,if you hear clicking then the relays are working but the contacts are burned out and can't pass the current to heat the oven or briol elements

Heating element burned up. replaced it and now it does not heat up. it seems to be getting some power because element is warm to touch but does not change color and really heat up.

it sounds like you're not getting 240 volts to the bake element, only 120 so one of the wires going to the element isn't getting power.shut off the power,go in the back and remove the panel where the bake element wires are, check to see if one of the wires fell off, sometimes the connectors get spread apart and when you slide them onto the new element and slide it back into the hole it falls off or a wire could be burnt or when the element popped it took out the clock assy.when you get back there have the element disconnected, make sure the wires aren't gonna touch metal and plug it in and put it on bake, with your meter set on 500 volts touch one probe to the wire and the other to ground, you should read 110 to 120 volts, then do the same to the other wire and you should have the same thing but one of them isn't getting any power and you'll have to trace the wire to see what part is bad.you might have to call in a tech to help you out, also next time send the model number off of the machine so i can look it up.good luck

Wont heat past 200 degres

When the food you're baking is done on top but not on the bottom--or when baking just takes far too long to finish--the bake element may be burned out.

You may get fooled into thinking it's working, because the oven is hot inside. But many electric ovens use the broil element, too, during the preheat and bake cycles. So the food may be getting heated only by the broil element, which causes poor baking results.

If the bake element is burned out, replacing it should solve the problem. Otherwise, you need to further troubleshoot the oven's electrical system to locate the defective wire or component.

Kenmore electrical oven

Trying to better define the problem....

Do you have any cuts, holes or "shorting" or tin-foil/aluminum around your bottom bake heat-element? If so, you may need to replace the baking Heat Element. (Ensure you do not use aluminum foil around your heat element to prevent your oven from getting dirty)

To replace your baking heat element, with power off; remove 2 screws securing the bake element. Slightly tug and pull towards you for about 3 inches or so and disconnect the connecting wires at each end. Then completely remove the heat element and install new in reverse manner. Whats' you're model number?
