I am unable to hot sync my T/X palm handheld since getting windows 7. I have done ... onto 64-bit desktop. USB doesn't connect to update Palm from handheld.
Check with your ISP to see whether you can connect your Palm device to the Internet... Preferences screen, tell your Palm device how to connect to the Internet.
Palm Desktop and HotSync won't destroy the data on your device if you have a fresh copy that doesn't have your data backed up. That said, however, look for free utilities that will back up your TX's data to an SD card should HotSync wipe your TX as well.
Unless I'm not understanding your question, any entries that you delete from either the desktop or PDA will delete from the other device when you sync your PDA.
So, if you delete an item from your Palm desktop, the next time you sync your PDA to your desktop, the entry will be deleted from your PDA as well.
But, if you haven't backed up / synced your PDA to your desktop yet, install and run Hotsync Manager - do that first. And, perform that procedure often so that your info on your PDA will be safe on your desktop.
Try this, uninstall your current version of Palm Desktop, then go to this link on the Palm support website http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/tungsten/tx/unlocked/home/page_en.html this will give you the link to the download for the TX version of Palm Desktop, this may or may not fix your particular problem but it is worth a try.
Is KsDatebook compatible with Palm? Palm suggests only two programs to sync calender files with Microsoft Outlook and the one that comes with the TX CD.
If you right click on the hotsync icon in your status bar, you can set each of the sync options to "handheld overwrites desktop." That should stop you losing data.
i had that problem too. sorry it is bugging you. i know you probably want to sync your data rught now. So for now try to disable the syncing of documents to go (just for now) on palm desktop, look for the conduits and temporarily disable the syncing of docs to go. Also ensure you plug in your pda charger as well as the usb cable (I found out this helps through experience) and sync. (Just to back it up)
as for the documents to go, there is probably a file(document) that is generating the errors. please look through documents to go on your palm desktop and remove any file you feel is not necessary. also take note that it is best if your pda has some free memory on it. you may want to save those documents on a disk (If you are not already that is..) clearing up ram made my tx more stable esp during hot sync.
please let me know it that worked for you. i still have some suggestions good luck and enjoy
hi, if you are using palm desktop as your default sync program like i de, you may want to check your conduits and see if they are all on sync mode. try to sync after and tell me if that works. good luck and enjoy
