Connect my mp3 player to mt kenwood z919 car stereo

Yes, I want to connect my mp3 player to my kenwood z919 car stereo , problem being there is no AUX input to plug it into. I tried one of those transmitters and wasn't happy with it, to much static. Any suggestions? there was no option for kenwood z919 so I just put the KDC-Mp228

SOURCE: turn aux on on kenwood kdc-mp205

In order to access the AUX option the stereo needs to be in Standby mode. To do this just hit the SRC or source button until you reach the Standby option. Now hit the menu button and scroll up or down until you reach the AUX on/off option and just turn it on. Hope you find this helpful.

If your Kenwood has an AUX input then you can connect a audio cable from the headphone connector on the Zune to the the AUX input on the Kenwood. Power up the Zune ans set it to music and switch the Kenwood to AUX.

How can i connect my ipod to my kenwood kdc-mp7028???

If you dont have an MP3 or Ipod input, then the best way is to buy an FM transmitter. This device plugs into your cigarette lighter and when connected to the Ipod will transmit the signal to the stereo unit. this device is actually like a micro radio station that you have to tune in on the Kenwood. These units are available at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, or online at Ebay, and Amazon.

Need to use Aux function with Satellite Tuner installed.

Yes, you will need to consult your owners manual (if you don't have one try Kenwoods website). AUX functions are turned ON during initial setup (like when you set the time).

Can I plug my MP3 player into the aux. socket on my car radio, with the appropriate cable and play the stored music?

You should be able to do that as long as you have the right cable.

Most of the mp3 players have a "mini-stereo" jack (3.5mm) and some car stereos have the same type of jack for "aux" input, and others car stereos have RCA jacks for the "aux" input.

Even if the jacks are not the same type, you can use an adapter cable that converts the mini-stereo jack to an RCA jack. You can find them at many places like Best Buy, Circuit City or Radio Shack.

Depending on the type of car stereo you have, you would normally press the source button to change between the tuner, cd player, aux or whatever you may have connected to the stereo. You may even have a seperate button to press for the "aux" input.

I hope this was helpful to you, if you need more information just ask, and please give more info on the type of mp3 player and the make and model number of the car stereo.

Adding MP3 Input to Kenwood R/C

To be honest, I can't find one spec of info on that stereo on the internet. It's possible the DIN connection you see is for controlling a CD changer. If so, it's possible you can use either this cable or this cable to turn it into an AUX input. But without a manual or anything, it's hard to know for sure. You have to contact Kenwood.
