tough question
by the look of the picture it should not have that problem
something jammed or fallen on both openings
that stop doors from opening
call a fridge repairer first
those doors cost a lot to replace
maybe the fridge guy can you undo the top hinge of the french doors
if the freezer draw handle is broken you might need his help with that anyway
If handle is broken get a new one and by removing inner door panel install the new one. Parts available at attached link Search Over 2 1 Million Appliance Parts
look for the model number at the front, bottom of the fridge where the door meets the fridge body (eg 22021-D). Go to shop.onlineappliancespares.com.au and either buy the whole handle ($150) or just the broken lugs ($15)
I have a Logixx with the same problem. Brute force was the answer. You cant lever the tongues out of the way and so cant release the handle gently. Use a piece of wood and lever the handle forward in the same direction as you open the door and it should come off. The new handle then snaps back in. You may need to remove the residue of the old broken part of the clips.
I think you may have to remove the door gasket, if you look behind the gasket you will see the screws holding it and the inner door liner in place, both should be removed and you will then have access to the handle screws from within the door.
Yes hello, I had the same problem - similar fridge model. Mine was the fridge (not freezer) door handle ie. the upper door. There are no small holes on the bottom of my fridge handle. Working from the outer door edge, I gently prized loose the plastic trim located under the door. I didn't take it completely off, just loosened about one quarter of the length, enough to flex the trim downward so that I could then access the phillips head screw that secures the fridge handle from the inside of the door. The trim will prevent you from using a conventional screw driver to tighten the screw. I used a screw driver bit which is only 25mm long. It has an hexagonal end to which I applied a small spanner and voila - the handle is once more secure. Good luck.
