Question about Bell & Howell Video Cameras
The camera was working fine, and I went to turn it on today and it is stuck on test function. I've replaced the batteries, plugged it in to my computer, and read the manual. Nothing has worked. please help!!!
Check to see if the stanby lever that surrounds the record switch on the back of the camera has inadvertently been put on standby. If this has happened, the VCR will work but not the camera. Move it off of lock to standby and it should crank right up.

SOURCE: condensation operation
I found instructions with pictures on fixing this problem online at
The process involves taking the camera apart.
Other forums I have looked at have mentioned waiting the error out or allowing the camera to air out.
