You should be able to remove the old one with a screw driver or needle nose pliers. The new one should have a new gasket with it.

The clicking noise may be the blade hitting the side of the mower or it was not put on properly. It needs a balance to the aluminum flywheel on top of the engine. The blade adapter and blade provide this balance for the engine to run.
Good Day.

Your mower quits in the middle of mowing and wont restart. The problem is most likely a weak or damaged coil. The hotter the engine gets the worse the spark becomes to the point where it will no longer ignite the fuel. The problem rights itself when the mower cools down.
The good news is: You can buy a replacement coil for a reasonable price off the internet *(Ebay perhaps?) and do the job yourself if you have modest skills with basic hand tools. *(all you need is a socket set and something to set the coil gap....I use a business card myself!)
If the mower is in relatively good shape and you want another 4-5 years of service out of it this isnt a bad way to go. If the unit has other issues like bad wheels, handles or excessive engine wear then a new mower might be a better use of your time and money.

If its in good condition you might be able to but be careful so mower doesn't fall on you. I've used my car ramps and backed the mower up the ramp and was able to do it safely. If you have any difficulty removing the blades, then I'd take the deck off. It really isn't that hard to remove the deck.

I use this tractor only for plowing and yard work. I have btpassed all safety switches, but need to be able to charge the battery while operating. All other electrics work, just can't trace the charging system.
