Question about Sharp Aquos LC-45GD6U 45 in. LCD HDTV
My Sharp LCD is around 2 years old. Around 6 mths back, i started experiencing a weird problem. My display would go off for no apparent reason. The power didn't shut off, but the display would just go off. The other functions of the TV still works. The only way to resolve this is to off and on my tv. I tried to switch it from video to tv mode when the display conks off and i see the mode change when the tv comes back on.
I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the power management system because i disabled all of them. My sleep timer isn't enabled as well. What's more perplexing, is that it can go off several times within an hour or even minutes but i can watch it without any hiccups for hours on end at other times. It seem to do so at random. Otherwise, everything seems fine with the tv set. What in the world could be the problem? It's most perplexing. Iwould appreciate any suggestions from you guys! Thanks!
The backlight inverter board is defective.
Replace it and your problem will be solved.
