You need to have your engine flushed and cleaned out. One or more of your spark plugs aint firing. You need to replace them all to include the wires as well. If you dont get your engine flushed, you could blow your engine up.

SOURCE: rubber burning smell and smoke

It sounds like a pulley froze up. Pop the hood have someone start the car while you are looking at the pulleys, you should be able to see the problem.

The engine needs 10w40 motor oil. NEVER use synthetic oil or oil with special additives.

SOURCE: Smoking Craftsman Riding Mower

1st thing, check your dipstick up inside the cap part of it and make sure the O'ring is there and in good condition.
2nd, make certain when you put it back on that you get it on straight and firmly seated. They will only seat one way properly the other way creates a leak into the crankcase and causes oil consumption and smoking. You should be able to tell if it has been improperly installed by an excessive amount of oily dirt accumulated around the threaded area of the cap

I have a Mio Sym 100 scooter for past year. Done about 800 km's myself. Total 3.000 km's. Suddenly I have no power after about 5 km's over 20 kph. Starts fine.

The older the engine, the more likely it is to leak oil due to aging gaskets and seals. As an engine ages, heat can cause cork gaskets to harden and shrink.Engine oil leaks occur most often at the valve cover and oil pan gaskets, timing chain cover and the front and rear crankshaft seals. on your Mio Better Check all necessary Seals and gaskets

Travelinng at 40.ooo kph how long to travel 1 light year

Hopefully, I can explain this correctly.

1 light year = 9.461e+15 m
= 9.416e+12 km

I assume from your notation that you are travelling at 40 000 kph.

40 000 = 4.000e+5

Now we have everything in the same units, we can divide the light year by speed to get time.

9.416 x 10^12
= -------------------
4.000 x 10^5

= 2.354 x 10^7 hours

= 23 540 000 hours

= 980 833 days

= 2 685 years

Good luck,

Paul

I have a 12 station Orbit Model #57900and I want to water the same stations two to three times a day

Program modes
Program A or 1 is your primary program setting. All Zones will run on this program.
Select program B. Or 2
Set start time for program B usually an hour or two after the LAST zone (12) run time on program A or 1
1. set selected run time for the zones you want to run. 5 min -20 min ( leave the others 00:00 or off)
Select program C or 3
And repeat above.

Keep track of the start times of each program as 12 zones running for 10 min will add up to 120 min or 2 hours total. So if Program A/1 starts at 6am it will finish at 8 am. Set program B/2 start time at 11am. Them select the specific area/zone you want to run again will water the area a second time. Just remember to leave the other areas you don't want to water Set at 00:00 or off. Repeat through all the programs and you off to enjoy your day. Cheers

Where can i get a manual for an orbit timer?

1) When posting question on fixya, add brand and model number of product for easy identification.
2) Expert may or may not have link to a manual.
3) Experts usually have to search for manuals just like you, so offer $5 - $10 for fixya answer to pay for work experts have done.
3a) Expert will not answer pay-question unless they have correct information
4) When conducting internet search for manuals, post brand-name followed by model-number followed by .pdf
5) Adding .pdf to your search parameter will help narrow search.
6) After you find a manual then add a comment to your question on fixya giving web address of manual. And don't forget to give expert 4 thumbs so you look like someone who matters.
7) Also you can buy a new product, and then scan the manual into pdf format and then post that manual for free on your website that you pay for each month so others can download it for free.

Burning smell when lights are on

If the smell is gone 24 hours after the lights were turned off, turn on the fan & leave the lights off. Check for the burning order again. If you can smell it replace the fan. It will be the armature shorting out in the fans motor

Possible engine blow-up in Tristar vacuum
Posted by skutch on May 28, 2008
5 days ago I was using the vacuum, and after 10 mins or so, I smelled a slight electrical burning smell and i immediately turned it off. i tried again yesterday to use it, and almost immediately after turning it on I heard a pop, saw what looked like blue flames somewhere inside, and again it smelled like it was burning. Of course I immediately turned it off and haven't touched it since. Seems to me the engine is a goner, but I believe it has a lifetime guarantee. So where do I get a new engine? I live in the Dayton, Oh area so if you know of anyone that services Tristars in this area I'd be most appreciative. Thanks!

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.

If you are getting an electrical burning smell it is your vacuum motor and you need to replace it. I am not sure if you have a lifetime warranty or not – most warranties are for 1, 2 or 3 years on electrical parts but I can try to give you a website or phone number to TriStar to see if they can help you on this matter. Question? How old is the vacuum and what is the dop? Listed below are some of the phone #’s that might be able to help you. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
