I am trying to repair a Dell 2407WFP. IC 651 and transistor Q654 are blown beyond recognition. I need to know what the number is on these so I can attempt to purchase. I would also like to be able to get the schematics/wiring diagrams. Can you help?

Why are people giving their opinions rather then answering the question? My monitor just died and I need to replace the main power filter cap and transistor Q654, I need the part number for transistor Q654 as I think the OP does as well.

You can try to unlock the display/monitor by pressing and holding down the MENU button on the monitor screeb (OSD menu buttons) while the monitor is powered on. Hold it for about 9 to 15 seconds, then release it. Let us know how it goes.

In order to provide you with this information, we need to know the make and model number. Each unit is a little bit different. Please update this with that information and we will respond with more details.

Unfortunately not. If you are talking about what i think you are talking about, then you will not be able to find that number if it is burned away. That number is either a unique production batch number or a manufacturing date, either way, if it is burned beyond recognition, then unfortunately, that number is forever lost. Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). Bud, i suggest you just buy a new MB cause lets say you fixed that MB and the PC/NB runs, that PC/NB will just run a maximum of 4 months without it blowing up again. and also it would damage all the internal parts of the PC/NB such as Processor, memory, and video card.

There should be circuit designations printed on the PC board. Without those, there are too many possibilities to give you anything useful. Can you provide those please?
