Hello there Hi there you can try.

  • Before resetting printer canon iP90, start with printer power off.
  • Press resume button coincide with power button.

  • Press resume button 2 times and then release both button
  • Green LED indicator will blinking and then stopped blinking.
  • When the Power LED lights in green, press resume button 4 times.
  • Press power button and the printer power will off. Otherwise off, depress again power button.
  • And the turn on the printer again, your printer canon iP90 should be response as normal.
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

I've had the printer for about 18 months with no problems. I need to print envelopes for the first time, and can't figure out how to do it. Any help out there?

Load the envelope against the right side of the back paper tray.
Load with the address side facing UP and the rear flaps DOWN on the left.
Pinch the Paper Guide and slide it against the left side of the envelope.
Set the Paper Thickness Lever to the right, return to the left after finishing printing.
The Paper Thickness Lever is located inside where the paper come out of printing.
Specify the settingin the printer driver.
Select Envelope in Media Type
Select DL Env. or #10 Env.

Paper thickness error

From page 88 of the User Guide.

For your printer you can use the following types of paper and other media.

??  Size

• Standard paper: From Legal size (8.5 x 14.0 in.) to A5 size (5.83 x 8.27 in.)
• Non-standard paper: From 3.54 x 4.72 in. to 8.5 x 23.0 in.
• Others: Envelopes (US Com. #10 and European DL)

Important ?ž₪ Do not use the following types of paper. Using such paper will not only produce unsatisfactory results, but can also cause the printer to jam or malfunction.

• Folded, curled or wrinkled paper
• Wet paper
• Paper that is too thin (less than 17 lb.)
Paper that is too thick* (more than 28 lb.)
• Picture postcards
• Postcards with an affixed photo or sticker
• Envelopes with a double flap
• Sealed envelopes
• Envelopes with an embossed or treated surface
• Paper with holes (such as loose-leaf paper)
* non-Canon branded paper

??  Weight

17 to 28 lb.

Do not use paper heavier than this (except for supported Canon-brand media), as it
could jam in the printer.
??  Types

The following types of media can be used. For more information about the media and the
printing methods, refer to the specific sections.

Plain paper: Refer to the printed Quick Start Guide.
?ž¡ Envelopes
?ž¡ High Resolution Paper HR-101N
?ž¡ Glossy Photo Paper GP-301/GP-301N
?ž¡ High Gloss Photo Film HG-201
?ž¡ Glossy Photo Cards FM-101
?ž¡ Photo Paper Pro PR-101
?ž¡ Photo Paper Pro PC-101S
?ž¡ Transparencies CF-102
?ž¡ T-Shirt Transfers TR-201
?ž¡ Banner Paper

If you are receiving a paper thickness error (are there lights flashing?) is the thickness greater than 28 lbs? You can refer to the User's Guide beginning on page 140 for infomration on error light patterns.

Have you set the Paper Thickness Lever properly? Looking at the printer from the front; To the left for normal paper; To the right for thicker product (e.g. envelopes, t-shirt transfers, banner paper).

Trust this is helpful. Please vote. :)

My cartridges on my canon pixma mp190 do not move to the center when i open it. it is also blinking an error of E2 and the alarm button is blinking

Is it brand new? The print head rail may have a protective plastic piece covering it. Pull that out and it should work better.

The code "E2" on your Pixma MP190 indicates that the paper is loaded incorrectly.
After correcting the problem that caused the error, press the or button.
  1. Remove paper from the rear tray.

  2. Open the paper output tray and extension. (See and in Figure 1 below.)

  3. Set the paper thickness lever according to the media being used. (See in Figure 1 below.)

Note: For paper thickness lever settings, use the following setings for the media type being used: Right side: Envelopes / T-Shirt transfers. Left side: All other media types.

  4. Divide the stack of paper into two or three piles.

  5. Fan out the sheets of paper so that they do not stick together.

  6. Load paper in the rear tray with the paper's print side facing up. (See in Figure 2 below.)

  7. Align paper to the right edge of the rear tray. (See in Figure 2 below.)

  8. Pinch and slide the paper guide to the paper's left side. (See in Figure 2 below.)

Got a Canon i850s used with no instructions. How do I load paper?

You have to open the front cover and move the paper thickness lever at the top of the print head holder to the left position, close the cover. Pull out the paper rest and the output tray and load the paper, aligning it with the right side of the sheet feeder. Press the paper guide and slide it against the left side of the stack of paper and you're done!

Recurent paper jam on Cannon Pixma MX300

Some printers have a certain paper height or paper load you can have loaded at one time. I would try loading a smaller amount of paper and see if that helps. If it still does the same thing your paper thickness lever may be damaged.

Will not print and keep getting paper thickness error

Did you try moving the paper thickness lever (blue lever on top of the print cartridge holder)? It should be all the way to the left when you start--if it needs to be adjusted the printer message will let you know.

Jsut plugged in machine

The Paper Thickness Lever should be set to the left for normal/plain paper. This switch can be seen inside the unit in the area of the paper output tray.

Printer won't print

I know that the paper lever is where your paper is loaded. Check the grey plastic tab and try to drag it to the right or left. Depending on your paper size you might have to check the owners manual.

Paper jam

OK, first try resetting th printer. This sometimes works the first time and corrects a lot of issues. Switch it off, take out all paper, check for jams with a torch right down back and open cover and check ther too. Once you are sure there are no paper jams (look really carefully they can be tiny!) unplug all cords and cables. Plug all back in turn it on, and try printing again. Post back if no luck and i will further assist.
