I want to restore my dell vostro 3500 to factory image

You'll need restore disks or if there is a restore partition on the hard drive then you can restore it from there. It will be less problematic to get some anti virus software to rid the computer of a virus.

Thermal paste

What were you opening the laptop for? Depending on how much of it you had to disassemble, I would venture to say you probably left something unplugged. I would crack the case open again and check all connections, make sure the hard drive is fully locked into place, etc.

Water pilled in my dell vostro 3500 , i left it to dry for several days and till now it doesn't work , the screen is off even the power is on , and also fan on , light is fine to. what is the pro

The water is inside the machine on the motherboard and is causing a short, I recommend removing the main battery unplug the power supply open up laptop and lay it face down on a thick towel to assorb any moisture coming out from the keyboard, but I strongly suggest a pro take it apart for a cleaning provided the main board can be saved.

I need to take apart my Brother XR-52 sewing maching to replace the spool pin. I have removed all the screws and cannot figure out how the case comes apart. Thank you.

XR-52 (and probably similar) has 9 screws on the back and bottom that needto be undone - be sure to keep track of which screw goes where becausethey're almost all different. One other screw is under the "nose" piece which holds the front shell to the back - it just needs to be loosened. After you haveremoved the 9 screws and loosened the one I mentioned you start at the bottom and pry apart carefully of course, noticing that the last part comes apart at the top where the three wheels go thru the back shell. In order to take off the front shell you need to remove two more screws, also fairly obvious. Reassembly is opposite order being sure when you get ready to put the back on that you align the three wheels at the top first, then work down to the bottom, replacing all the screws. That's really it - not rocked science. Just be sure not to over-tighten screws going into plastic. Have fun!

Dell Vostro 3500 suddenly shut down, start up and works fine, after 2 minutes turn off without any warning message this happened after i installed bios upgrade A10 from dell.com

this is happening because of bios upgrade but not in a bad way. May be there is a hardware problem just starting so new bios upgrade is detecting that and thats why its restarting.

basically sudden shut down occurs in either cases- Fan not working or hard disk(or RAM) gone bad.

my advise is to contact dell customer support and they will guide you thru trouble shooting steps.
they will guide you if your warranty is not there.

Dell Vostro 3500 suddenly shut down

Try going back to the previous version of the BIOS to see whether the problem continues. You can download older versions from the Dell website and install them over the existing version.

If this does resolve the issue, I would report the problem to Dell and as a precaution inspect the fan and the ventilation screens and ducts for debris and clean as required.
If you're good with a screw driver and the laptop is no longer under warranty, you might even consider taking the laptop apart to clean out any dust build-up from the ventilation ducts.
If this answer is any help at all, please rate either 3 or 4 thumbs. (1 or 2 thumbs are considered "horrible" and "bad")
