Whirlpool du915 won't turn on anymore

  • Hilary Jan 17, 2012

When I hit "Start" or "normal", it either does nothing or lights the "cancel/drain" button and begins draining. I unplugged, unloaded/loaded and nothing is fixing it. Thanks

Won't start

sounds like you have a bad motor, when it heats up it stops running and when it cools down it will run again but one of these times it won't run anymore until you change out the motor.when the motor gets hot you might smell a shellac smell, this is the windings on the motor heating up.part number 8528157 and it's around 120 dollars on the sears site

Whirlpool Dryer Model 6646AQ1 need schematics to diagnose why the dryer won't turn on. Electrical connections all checked and working. ???

Did you look inside the dryer? Full schematics & troubleshooting procedures are usually in either the back control panel or around the drum.

Burners won't light automatically. Will light with a match. Flint doesn't spark anymore. Can flints be replaced and by whom?

If none of the igniters are working then it is probably the igniter module which is relatively easy to replace on most makes and models.

Washer won't start.....F70 code appeared It's a Whirlpool Duet

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F70 is a communication error which is caused when no communication is detected from the user interface to the CCU (central control unit). Please check the wiring to user interface and the central control unit, if that is fine and you can see the drum rotating then replacing the user interface is recommended repair. If the drum won't turn then the CCU needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Whirlpool dishwasher model du915 built-in problem

Hi,
I've had a look at the Whirlpool site for detailed information for you, but they seem to want you to buy a pump assembly complete. Not very helpful.
If you type your exact model number they may come up with a spares kit -
Whirlpool Sapres Department - http://www.4whirlpool.co.uk/cgi-bin/search.pl?query=pump&pg=9&brand=&model=&part=

There is usually a slight gap in this mincer arrangement. It could be that the "strainer" has become detatched from it's intended fixed position. If this is the case. Try heat from a soldering iron to bond it to it's fixing, or an epoxy adhesive as a last resort before purchase of a new pump assembly.

If there is room for a small spring on the output shaft, this may also keep it at the correct distance.

Sorry I could not identify the exact part for you.
