Service Manual Sir would it be possible for you to send me a copy or a link to a service manual for the Toshiba 57H82 tv. I am having problems with the wavy lines and have read the posts on this site and have been enlightened what the problem is (hyper module) and I need to replace the caps. The convergence circuit has failed in the tv. These are the big STK chips on the circuit board. It typically costs $300 to fix at a TV service center. Requires replacement of two STK chips, some resistors, some fuses and then re-alignment of the CRTs within the service menu.

If you have proper soldering tools and can download the service manual, it is possible to do the repair yourself.

If you do not have any electronic background whatsoever, I do not recommend a person to attempt it.

I have Toshiba 50H81 manual and can email you, if you need that.

By the red being "off" I suspect you have a convergence problem and adjusting will bnot likely fix the problem. The convergence amps need to be replaced but if you email me I can send you the servoce manual... Just provide me with enough info in your mail, model number, because I get nearly 3000 emails a day and I won't likely remember what manual you're looking for...

Most service manuals with schematics cost about $27.95 for the PDF version of it, otherwise the paper version is about $15.00 more for handling and shipping.

You will need the chassis number of the unit in question in order to search for it. I hope this helps!
