Did you lock the adjustment into the TV's memory? This step is the most often missed. Please follow the directions on the Users manual or on the service manual on how to set your memory to hold the configuration.
Find the menu item on setting the convergence adjustment into memory (the menu should have an informational screen on this topic)
sounds like a solder related issue on the convergence ICs. They are acessed through the front of the TV behind the speaker grille and then remove the small acess panel and you will see the convergence amp board with the two ICs on it.
Check that the 3 output plugs are in the right sockets (Red, Blue, Green) There is usually a felt pen colored mark on a white tape on the plug in wires. The Board sockets are marked Red, Green, Blue.
You need to replace the convergence Ics located up front behind the speaker grille numbers STK392-110 you can get replacements at the following link and they provide free tech support and instalation instructions with pictures. heres the link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
Yes - - that indicates one of your convergence amps have failed. That unit takes two STK392-110 Sanyo amps which I personally would replace with STK392-150's for greater reliability. Also check all of the return resistors in that circuit 1.5 ohm 2w and feed resistors 3.3 ohm 1w all are flameproof. You'll likely find that one or more of the return resistors are bad, with suspecting the red is the failed amp check in particular R846 for change in value or open.

Your convergence has failed and needs to be repaired. Once quick test is to goto your convergence menu and see if you can adjust red and blue. If not its has failed and needs to be fixed. You can call in a repair shop or you can get the parts and instructions from www.TvRepairKits.comand do the repair yourself. Its a fairly easy DIY fix. Here is an example video
