Check the Density settings first and might as well check Brightness and Contrast.

How do i clean the rollers on my printer?

Paper Tray Rollers Step 1 Turn off and unplug your HP printer. Pull out your printer's paper tray and locate the printer rollers on the paper tray. Each roller is gray or black, and they are made of rubber. Remove the rollers from the tray.
On HP inkjet printers, the printer roller is not on the paper tray; it is on the area inside of the printer where the paper tray slides into the unit. Remove the paper tray and sit your HP inkjet printer upright, so the paper tray area is facing upward, and then look for the printer roller.
Step 2
Pour 1 tbsp. of isopropyl alcohol or clean water onto a lint-free cloth and scrub the paper or internal tray rollers with the cloth. Fold the cloth in half and repeat the cleaning process until the rollers are free of dust and debris.

Step 3
Wipe the rollers with a dry, lint-free cloth to remove any remaining dust or debris. Let the rollers dry completely before sliding the paper tray back into your printer.
Internal Pickup Roller - Laser Printers Only Step 1 Turn off and unplug your HP printer. Open your printer's front door and pull the printer's toner cartridge toward you to remove it from the printer.
Step 2
Locate your printer's internal pickup roller. The roller is gray or black, and it is made of rubber. Lift the roller upward, towards the front of your printer. Pull the roller gently out of the printer and lay it on a clean surface, such as a desk or workbench.
Step 3
Pour 1 tbsp. of isopropyl alcohol or clean water onto a lint-free cloth and scrub the pickup roller with the cloth. Fold the cloth in half and repeat the cleaning process until the roller is free of dust and debris.
Step 4
Wipe the roller with a dry, lint-free cloth to remove any remaining dust or debris. Let the roller dry completely before snapping the pickup roller back into place inside of your HP printer. Reinstall the toner cartridge and close your printer's door.

My Photosmart 2575 All in one printer has problems feeding paper. The only way it will print is to feed only one sheet of paper at a time and to tap it to make sure it's in the right place. But this is...

The possible cause for this is a defective pickup roller(gray color) .
Please follow the steps below:
>Adjust the paper settings in the print driver The paper settings in the print driver must match the paper settings for at least one of the installed paper trays.
>>Open a document in the program being used to print.
Click File , click Print , and then click Properties . The product Properties dialog box appears.
Click the Paper/Quality tab.
Choose the appropriate paper size from the Size is drop-down menu.
Choose the appropriate paper type from the Type is drop-down menu.
Click OK and then click OK again to print the document..
If the issue is not resolved, continue with the next section.
>Clean the rollers
Turn off the product and unplug the power cord.
Open the access door to gain access to the rollers. Depending on the model, this is usually the rear access door. See the product user guide for information about locating the rollers.
Clean the rubber rollers with a lint-free cloth, lightly moistened with water.
NOTE: Distilled, filtered, or bottled water is recommended for cleaning the rollers. Tap water might contain contaminants that can damage the rollers.
Make sure that any paper rollers that rest on the input tray, which are located behind the back rollers, are cleaned. A clean cotton swab, lightly moistened with water, might be necessary to reach these rollers.
Close the access door and plug in the power cord.
Try printing again.
You could try this product >click HERE(it softens the rubber and has parafin to preserve it)

C4680 All-In-One Inkjet Printer: paper won't fed and nothing prints...

Hi, i dont know you've got the same problem as i did. But i tell you how i fixed my problem. My printer said i ran out of paper, but there's plenty of paper where it should be. What i did to fix it was that i pulled some paper (remove the gray back plastic, turn pinter around, you can see the rubber rollers now) futher out and then placed the gray plastic back. Put the printer off and on the paper comes out. Then again off and on, then go rpint of copy something and it works again. I hope you it does the trick for your problem.

HP printer 1220c disk jet will not feed thick card paper anymore. Just can print from regular copy paper. Rollers not feeding the thicker paper any more.

HI THERE

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE PICK UP ROLLER IS DIRTY.
USE NAIL POLISH REMOVER TO CLEAN THE RUBBER ROLLER THAT PICKS UP THE PAPER(BETWEEN THE TWO FRONT TRAYS ON THE RIGHT SIDE)

Savin 2545 document feeder gives a gray band on the copies

Yes - surprisingly - we had the same problem, the gray stripe along the side of the page only showed up when the original was fed through the document feeder on top. Cleaned the small area of glass under the feeder repeatedly with no change to the resulting stripe, but then while cleaning the upper roller, above the area of glass where the scan lamp illuminates during the copying from the ADF, we found a small piece of paper adhering to the top roller in the paper path, cleaned it off, and no more band. We didn't see the bit of paper on the upper roller until we rolled it while cleaning. Still can't figure how that made a stripe....but hope this helps you.

Unwanted gray stripes on paper

Printer needs a good clean and service.
Toner particles have probably split onto the fuser drum or has been contaminated by previously printed paper losing some toner.
As the particles get re-heated, they become waxy and smear around the drums and rollers.
For stripping and cleaning procedure, check the FIXYA manuals and tips, searching for your model, or similar one, or try a manuals download website and enter your make & model.
HP may also have the info.
You'll probably need a service manual rather than the user manual.

Paper turns gray

it is written in the Manual:

If the amount of background toner shading becomes unacceptable, the procedures described below may help to clear the condition:

* Increase the density setting. This will decrease the amount of background shading.
* Change the paper to a lighter basis weight.
* Check the printer's environment' very dry (ow humidity) conditions can increase the amount of background shading.
*Replace the toner cartridge.
*Replace the transfer roller

i hope it can help.

Parts are no longer available. You might be able to clean the feed roller by removing the toner cartridge and cleaning the gray roller with isoprpyl alcohone.
