Dryer does not turn on when button is pushed. There is power to the outlet and power going through the cord to the dryer i checked both with a tester. The lightbulb inside the dryer does not come on and i checked that and the bulb is still good. The unit makes no noise and no movement when the button is pushed.

Sounds like an electrical issue. Are you sure the outlet is wired correctly? You need a 120 volt line going to one side of the outlet and another separate (not split off the first line) 120 volt line going to the other side. You also need a neutral line and a ground. You should measure 240 volt from one 120v line to the other.

I have a Maytag dryer model: MEDE300VW0 that is showing a PF code. I have tried unplugging, pressing the cancel button, etc. as recommended on various internet sites. PF code persists.

i know that the voltage overseas is different form the usa, that's telling you there was a power failure while the dryer was running, check the back of dryer to make sure you have 240 volts going to the dryer, you could have a bad power cord or something to do with power source.

My dryer will run for a while but then it stops. I can still hear the timer ticking and if I push the button again the dryer will run again.

My Best Guess would be a bad power connection, or just a bad connection, A bad timer or Bad Motor

I would ckeck the power cord connections first and even the outlet. Making sure all the wiring is sucure.

Of course make sure you turn off the breaker to the outlet befor serviceing and unplug the machine befor serviceing

My GGQ 9800 gas dryer won't start. It was working

Hi,
Things to check first on a no start dryer.
Check for power at outlet.
Inspect power cord.
When you try to turn it on do you hear anything?
Check the door switch(does it click when pressed in?)
The next item to check and most likely replace on a completely dead dryer with power and a good door switch would be the thermal fuse located inside the cabinet.
Please let me know if I can help with anything else

Kenmore Washer Model 417 44052400 will not turn on at all. Only sign of life is a beep when press the reset/cancel button. Any suggestions?

first of all check with an electric meter to see if the proper voltage is going into the dryer from the outlet
If you have proper voltage from the wall outlet (in USA it's mostly 240 volts for a standard full size dryer) then check where the pigtail, cord, goes into the back of the dryer to insure the connections are tight.
If all of the above checks out as good then my first thought would be the start button since the power goes straight from the cord to the start button then proceeds to the dryer components.

Hope this helped

Whirl pool dryer LEC9000PW0 will not turn on

Has a household fuse blown or has a circuit breaker tripped?
There may be 2 household fuses or circuit breakers for the dryer. Make sure both fuses are intact and tight, or that both circuit breakers have not tripped. Replace the fuse(s) or reset the circuit breaker(s). If the problem continues, call an electrician.
Is the correct power supply available? (Electric dryers only)
Electric dryers require 240-volt power supply. Check with a qualified electrician.
Is the dryer door firmly closed?
Your dryer door may not be fully closed. It may look shut, but may not be latched. Push on the door to engage the latch or latches. Some models have an upper and lower latch. Both latches must be secure for the dryer to run.
Was the Start, Push to Start or Hold to Start button firmly pressed?
Large loads may require the Start, Push to Start, or Hold to Start button to be pressed and held for two to five seconds.
Is the Cycle Control knob set on a Sensor Dry or Timed Dry cycle? (on some models)
The Cycle Control knob must be set in a Automatic Dry or AccudryTM or Timed Dry cycle. The dryer will not start if set on the Wrinkle ShieldTM option.
Is Controls Locked status light on? (on some models)
Press and hold the Cycle Signal button for three seconds. This will turn off the Controls Locked feature.
Did you recently install a power supply cord on the dryer? (Electric dryers only)
The power supply cord may be incorrectly installed. If the power cord is incorrectly installed, the dryer may not start or heat. Review the Installation Instructions to check that the power supply cord is properly installed.

Dryer will not start

Your dryer may not be receiving adequate voltage to start. Make sure your dryer is plugged in. Also, check the circuit breaker panel to make sure all the circuit breakers are in the correct positions. Or check to make sure no fuses in the fuse panel are blown. Try plugging something else into the same outlet. If it won't work either, then there is likely something wrong with the power outlet. Any of these could be the reason power is not getting to your dryer. Also, refrain from using an extension cord to plug your dryer in.

Hello mdonettaYou said,
Dryer shut off towels were not yet dry, turned dial to restart dryer acts as if it isn't getting power I closed door and pushed start button. Nothing! Checked breakers and power cord at outlet all checked okay. Any ideas.

yes, try unplugging the power cord or turning off the breaker for 5 minutes. Either will due. Some times the system needs to be reset!
If this does not work there are internal fuses that can be replaced!

Let me know how it goes!
