If you will log in to your Yahoo mail, do not go to yahoo.com...

...go to mail.yahoo.com and you will be redirected to the log-in page.

Then type your user name (i.e. jockeyman), do not include @yahoo.com. And then type your password.

You should be in after that.

Try to clear all the cookies and temporary files and check if any firewall is blocking certain pages...

it means your browser has been hijack and you are redirecting to a undesired site. You need to download and run malwarebytes and antivrus software. Your pc is infected and any personal information you put in could be logged and sent to the attackers. Take your pc offline and don;t do any further personal transactions on it like passwords, banking etc until you are aure it is clean.

had the problem on old computer...turned out to be date/time stamp. resetting date/time solved the problem. also had the issue pop up on new laptop w/ windows 7 ie. turned out to be in tools...internet options...trusted sites...sites. somehow i had added gmail.google.com to trusted sites and gmail was looping between http and https. removed the entry and problem disappeared.

This happens when it sometimes refuses to accept the cookies or if disabled, kindly clear your Cache as:

For FF: Click on Tools, then Options
Select Privacy
In the Cookies panel, click on Show Cookies
To remove a single cookie click on the entry in the list and click on the Remove Cookie button
To remove all cookies click on the Remove All Cookies button(prefer to Remove all cookies)

For IE: Click on Tools, then Internet Options,
under General tab see Temporary Internet Files block, and then click on Delete cookies (prefer to click on delete files also)

The problem will be solved.
