I have a desktop with a Biostar P4VMA-M motherboard, was working fine until recently. I turned it on, it had a beeping sound for a few seconds and the monitor just says "check your pc and signal cable, monitor is working."
Everything else seems to be working normal. I believe the video display is integrated. What would you recommend to fix this problem? Thanks in advance and God Bless.
Good day,
have you tried unplugging and replugging the cable connecting from the monitor to the video card? if after trying that it your video card is still not functioning, try installing a separate video card in its appropriate slot and try if this will work. better yet, have it checked by a competent technician in your area to verify other possible causes of this problem.
i hope this will help

just check with your local computer shop for availability of such video cards.
as for the memory capacity of your video card, i suggest that you get the highest memory that you can afford. however, it depends on how you will use your computer. if you will use it for photo editing, graphics layouting, high resolution gaming, you should opt for a higher memory video card.
i hope this helps
thank you very much @ecsracing33

Thanks for your very helpful advice. Since it is an intergrated unichrome 2D/3D card and the vga output is apparently not working, would you recommend installing just a PCI slot with vga out? It's a P4 with HT, so honestly I really do not know how much mb's is recommended. I thank you for helping me in this matter. God Bless.
