I have a sansui G9700 receiver/amp. The volume control works intermitantly. Must play with it to get volume. I believe I need to replace the potentiometer F3085. where can I get one? Erick G

The potentiometer doesn't need to be replace, it has collected dust inside causing the intermittent operation. Buy a contact cleaner/conditioner to spray inside it and move the potentiometer clockwise and counter clockwise a few times until the dust inside it is gone.
Check this link to find a contact/conditioner cleaner or you can try spraying rubbing alcohol but this could because alcohol doesn't not lubricants properties.
Let me know if you require further assistance.

Sometimes car won't start after driving. Can start it by spraying carborator cleaner in where air cleaner is. Replaced fuel regulator, didn't help. Doesn't do it all of the time, but want it fixed. If it...

Try cleaning the IAC valve locate near the air cleaner intake hole . Remove the aircleaner duct work. And when the car does start. Run engine at 1200 rpms or so. Spray carb cleaner inside the hole to the sides of the walls. you can see 2 small holes to the side of the walls. That is the IAC. Turn engine off ,let the cleaner soak in. Then restart the engine and spray some more. when I say spray , I mean a good 10 seconds of spraying right at the little holes . See if your car starts running better. if this does not work, replace the IAC it is on the outside of the fuel intake . You can also try the MAF sensor. Mass Airflow Sensor located on the big pipe on the air cleaning system.

Hi, I have a second hand NAD 3240PE amplifier, the right channel has an intermitent crackle but the left channel is fine, Any ideas as to what might be causing this problem?

Crackling is usually a dirty control. Try using an electronics cleaner (with lubricant) and spray out all of the controls and switches. With the unit off, work the controls and switches back and forth to "spread" the lubricant. I would spray, work and spray again.

Update this with the results and also see if the crackling is related to the overall volume level. If tied to the volume level, there could be a transistor inside that is breaking down and causing distortion.

Ryboi weed eater is **** - wont start, can't get wheel head off

Try cleaning the carb with carb and choke cleaner. I spray carb cleaner into the opening behind the air filter and then try starting it. It takes awhile to get started. If that don't work remove the carb and spray it down also. When you get it started play with the choke a little. Move it back and forth till it runs smoothly. Mine sometimes will only run of half choke. Mine is a 4 cycle.

good luck

Remove the motor control board, spray it down with electronic cleaner along with all connections by disconnecting them, spraying them down. Disconnect and connect a few times to ensure good contact.. It appears that spraying the board and connectors work.

Pl give me a ‘very helpful’ rating for the free help, thanks.

The dome light will not cut off

your problem is more than likely the sensors in the doors. spray all the doors with electronic spray cleaner found at any auto parts store for about 5 bucks this should help clear the dirt and gook of the sensors inside the doors make sure you start with the front doors first

My uncle just gave my son a g-100 amp. it is a old tube amp made by yamaha . it has a lot of scratchy niose. the amp works. someone said it might need to be cleaned. do you think that will work?. if so...

The g-100 is a solid state amp produced by Yamaha in the late 1970s.  If the "scratchy noise" is produced when turning the knobs, it can be cleaned by using a spray called "de-ox it" or an electronic contact cleaner and lubricant like CRC-56.  The best way to clean old rotary potentiometers (the electronic part of the knobs) is a good hard turning.  Moving the knob back and forth with firm gentle pressure can actually clean off residue and result in a cleaner tone.  Try to apply the cleaning spray to the knob stem only and to no other surfaces.  Another great electronics cleaner/spray is Contact ReNu made by MillerStephenson. If the problem persists you might want to take this amp to a pro repair guy. Good Luck!
