Front load washder does not go through with cylce

My front load washer would not continue through the cycle. For example, when I turn on the wash cycle, it will stay at that position and does not go to the next cycle. Every time I want the machine to move from one cycle to the next I have to do it manually such as from wash cycle to rinse cycle. The dial won't not turn unless I turn it manually. Please give me a suggestion of what part of the machine is not working properly. Per my understand and my friend told me, it is probably the time is not working. If that is the problem, can I replace the timer myself and how much it cost for the replacment part.

My affinity washer starts the cylce and after 2 minutes into the cycle it stops and says pau. I have tried it on several cycles and always the same thing.

The PAU is a power interruption. Look for something simple like a loose power cord or worn wall receptacle.

My washer stops at a certain minute and won't proceed (i.e., it stops at 11 minutes for the low extract spin only cycle). Very frustrated! It worked fine for the service guy yesterday!

it may be in its pause cycle the washer pauses for about 2 minutes during certain cylce allow the cycle to continue some cycles go between agitation and soak

Goes through all cycles by will not drain or spin.

If the timer hangs at points in the wash cycle, and you can manually advance, then the timer continues to run or runs shortly before hanging again, then the timer is bad and needs to be replaced.
