Your plasma screen is made up of 1080 verticle lines and now a few of these lines are not working. This is the screen itself and needs replacing.

Hi I have a LG RZ42px11 there are 6 vertical thick black lines running down the middle off the screen, when cold the TV seems OK but if it has been on for around 10mins or on standby the lines stay on screen.

these plasma vertical black lines are notorious. there's a video of a fix on this plasma tv repair site. good luck!

Try cleaning and reseating the ribbon cables on the XR board.

I have a 2 black lines. One goes horizontal and one runs vertical. Is this something I can fix?
