Original-Style Super NES RF to TV Hookup

how do you hook up the super nintindo console to t - hook_sns_rftotv.gif Installation Steps:

  1. Locate the TV's VHF IN [ANT, CATV, or 75(ohm)] or Cable Connector.
  2. Disconnect the existing cable wire from the TV's VHF IN.
  3. Connect the short, thick wire from the RF Switch (labeled ANT) to your TV's VHF IN.
  4. Reconnect the existing cable wire (disconnected in step 2) to the silver post labeled ANT on the RF switch.
  5. Connect the thin wire of the RF Switch (labeled Control Deck) to the back of the Super NES (labled RF Out).
  6. On the back of the Super NES, set the 3/4 switch so that it matches the channel of the TV.
Note: The RF Switch does not produce stereo sound. To get stereo sound, connect your Control Deck to your TV or VCR using the Stereo Audio/Video Cable.
After the system is connected to the TV:
  1. Insert the Game Pak firmly into the Control Deck.
  2. Plug the controller(s) into the front of the Control Deck. Use the far left port for a one player game.
  3. Plug the AC Adapter into the back of the Control Deck. Plug the other end of the cord into a wall outlet.
  4. Slide the Power Switch to the On position.
  5. Turn on the TV and set it to the appropriate channel (3 or 4.)
  6. The game image should now be displayed on the TV screen. You are ready to play!

Trying to hook up having problems with connication ,need manual

Okay... with limited information I'll give it a shot...

Depending on the age of your tv, sometimes they have multiple input options. Since you are referring to hooking it up with cable, I'm guessing that you are using a coaxle for your super nintendo. The easiest way to get it hooked up it to upgrade to a 3-prong AV cable. You can find them on ebay for about $2.

If you don't have any open inputs on your tv you will need to either continuously change what is connected to the tv (unlikely) or buy an RF switch from any store that sells electronics. I think they are running $20 or less now adays. (They are worth the cost because they allow you to connect DVD player, VCR, game component, etc all using one input on TV.)
